Les Affaires features Azimut Medical's inflatable clothing to prevent fall injuries
October 15, 2026

In its mid-October 2026 edition, Les Affaires published a feature by journalist Sylvie Lemieux on Azimut Medical, as part of its SME Month dossier.
The article starts with the fall of Maxime Bolduc's grandmother, who fractured her hip at home. The solutions available at the time only raised the alert after a fall. None of them prevented the injury.
The article also covers:
- The clinical trial now under way in a long-term care home (CHSLD), with Santé Québec (Centre-Sud-de-l'Île-de-Montréal) and the Research Centre of the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal. Results are expected in 2027.
- The road to the trial: about a year and a half to coordinate funding and partners, then close to seven months to get ethics committee approval.
- The next steps: private seniors' residences, a home pilot project, and a waitlist of about 500 people.
- A mobility analysis feature in development, which would follow a person's gait and activity level to detect changes from their usual habits.
